Interview: Shawn Kessel, city administrator, Dickinson, ND and president, Western Dakota Energy Association

Kessel gives an update on some of the recent changes in the city of Dickinson.  He also discusses the sales tax collections and how that system for population estimation should be reevaluated.

Kessel also shares his observation on the number of “white trucks” driving around Dickinson as well as how local retail establishments are fairing.

After discussing the Bakken from a city administrator’s perspective, Kessel gives an update on the Bakken from his role with the Western Dakota Energy Association’s position. Kessel is incoming president for WDEA.
